The story begins Christmas 2007 when I was given a 3 month gift subscription to Eharmony. My best friend and my staff all chipped in and decided that Santa needed to bring me a man. I signed up in early January and Paul was my 2nd date. It was quite clear from the start of our guided communication, through our phone conversations to our first date on January 27, 2008 that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together enjoying life and each other. Our similarities made us compatible while our differences made our relationship interesting. Until I met Paul, I did not understand the true meaning of the word “soul mate”. He is that and so much more.

He took me to New York City over Memorial Day weekend (May 2008) and proposed to me on my first and most memorable horse and carriage ride through Central Park. We then set our wedding date for Friday, May 8, 2009 in Virginia Beach.

Family started to arrive in Virginia Beach early that week and we weren’t sure the weather was going to cooperate. When most of the family started to arrive, the clouds parted way and gave us some of the most gorgeous weather we’ve seen in a long time. The hotel was on the ocean and the dolphins gave us their seal of approval by dancing, jumping and playing every morning throughout that week.

The common question asked of us both was if we were nervous. The answer was absolutely NOT!! We were both so excited for the day to arrive and truly happy, blessed and amazed to be celebrating with our friends and family. We had a close friend petition the court to marry us in what was, to us, the perfect wedding ceremony. Not to brag but we did hear the same from our friends and family. It was a joyous occasion that will never be forgotten. You are welcome to read more on our wedding website.

I have told a lot of people about our story and some are amazed an online dating service actually worked and some knew of other success stories. Eharmony is truly in a different class and calling it an online dating service seems an injustice but if you are honest about who you are and what you want, you will absolutely be successful just like I was. I pinch myself each and every day that I get to spend it with the most amazing man. For that, this adoring and happy newlywed couple will be forever grateful for your service.

Best wishes,
Tracy Dalenberg

Today was a good day. My girls woke me up at 9:45 this morning and had made breakfast for me. They made pancakes and I have to say that they were actually very good. I was a little suprised by how good they did. I guess I really should not be suprised. After all they are 14 and 11. They are no longer little gilrs.

Here is a picture of them at the beach last month.

After Breakfast we hung around the house for a little bit and then went to a Tidewater Tides Baseball game. It was our first time this year. Tides lost 3 to 2. The game was not too exciting, but I feel like you have to go to at least one baseball game a year. It is an American thing to do.

Later that evening we rode our bikes down at the board walk and then had some ice cream from Dairy Cream. I enjoy hanging out at the beach. Everyone seemed to have a good time. They had an art show this weekend. We missed it, there were a lot of vendors closing up shop when we were riding our bikes.

We ended the evening watching a new show on “Treasure Hunters”. I’m not suire when it aired, it was TIVOed. It basically “The Amazing Race” with a treasure theme. It was pretty funny. We all laughed a lot at the southerners with the mullet.

Now everyone is in bed. Today was a good day.
